|
Hearts in Atlantis (2001) is a Steven King coming-of-age tale that stars Anton Yelchin as Bobby Garfield, an 11-year-old boy who has a mysterious visitor named Ted Brautigan (Anthony Hopkins) renting the upstairs rooms in his home. Bobby's dad passed away 5 years ago and his mom neglects him, and Ted and Bobby become friends as they meet each others needs for help and companionship. Ted is hiding from agents who want to use him for his special ESP-like powers, some of which get transferred to Bobby. Bobby tries to hide Ted and then help him escape from the bad guys. Co-stars Will Rothhaar as Bobby's pal Sully-John, and Timmy Reifsnyder as the local bully, Harry Doolin.
