The Rookie
|
The Rookie (2002) is the true-life story of Jimmy Morris (Dennis Quaid), a 40-ish father, teacher, and high-school baseball coach who tries out for the major leagues and earns a spot pitching in the bigs. Trevor Morgan is uncredited in this film, and plays Jimmy as a youngster. As a boy he moves from town to town and tries out for baseball wherever he lives. His strict military dad is unsupportive of his efforts at the sport he loves. Angus T. Jones stars as the adult Jimmy Morris' son Hunter.
