The Yearling
|
The Yearling (1946) stars Claude Jarman Jr., in his first film
role,
as Jody Baxter. This is a classic tale where a boy and his
beloved pet come of age together. 11-year-old Jody adopts a young
deer, a 'yearling', after his father was forced to kill the animal's mother.
Jody and his deer become inseparable, and as the deer grows it causes it's
share of mischief. This is a touching and warmhearted tale and truly
