The Deep End of the Ocean

The Deep End of the Ocean (1999) Ryan Merriman stars as Sam Karras/Ben Cappadora, a boy who was kidnapped at 5 years old.  Almost 10 years later, older Ben, now 14 years old, lives in the same neighborhood as his real family.  An on-again, off-again relationship develops with his real family as Sam/Ben is torn between identities.  He desires a relationship with his brother Vincent (Jonathan Jackson), who still harbors guilt over allowing young Ben to get lost.  This touching story is brilliantly acted by all, but I think the real key to this movie is how Ryan charmingly makes his character believable.  (DVD Video Captures from this movie are in our Ryan Merriman Galleries and Jonathan Jackson Galleries)
